Nipawin was recognized as a provincial winner in Communities in Bloom with a 4 out of 5 bloom rating with special mention to the Nipawin Regional Park, the Nipawin and District Forestry Museum and Nipawin Leisure Services Department. The Nipawin & District Forestry Museum received strong recognition for its volunteers, upkeep, and visitor experience, including the lookout platform, tractor rides, working sawmill, and teepee. The involvement of an Elder in explaining the meaning and structure of the teepee was highlighted as an important way of sharing Indigenous culture and stories.
